Grotesque Tales II

6,99

Journalist and writer, José Rafael Pocaterra, lived in Venezuela in the first half of the 20th century. He was a journalist, writer, and political activist who fought against the dictatorship of Juan Vicente Gómez in Venezuela. Eventually, he fled to Canada. He’s best known for his ‘memorias’, the extensive autobiographical analysis of politics during the dictatorships of that time, and his short stories about children. These stories portray with a grotesque realism how kids, sometimes too fast and brutally, had to grow up.

This book contains three stories in bilingual Spanish – English edition, questions for each story, the answers to the questions and a vocabulary list of about 50 words.
